HIGHWAY DAVE & THE VARMINTS ARE HELPING THE SEVERN VALLEY RAILWAY!

Popular Black Country and Western rebel rousers Highway Dave and The Varmints are to release their song Ride The Lion to aid the appeal to rebuild the Severn Valley Railway. Large sections of the historic Worcestershire/Shropshire line, which runs the 16 miles between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth, were damaged in the floods in June and July with estimates for repair heading towards £2.5M.

Ride The Lion is taken from Highway Dave and The Varmints soon to be released second album Bucket Town and is the story of the famous Stourbridge Lion locomotive which was the first to run on rails in the USA in 1829.

The song can be pre-purchased now either by visiting www.highwaydave.com or by texting "SVR" to 78789. Downloads will be available on the official release date of August 27th. All profits from these download sales go to the Severn Valley Railway Flood Damage Appeal.
