Led Zeppelin set to do a one-off date at the O2 arena, London.
The date has been confirmed as 26th November 2007. Rumours have been flying around for months, and yesturday the band and thier executives called a press conference where they announced the one-off date for the Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund.
Ahmet Ertegun was the man that signed Led Zeppelin to the label Atlantic, which saw the band go huge.
Tickets to this special, one-off gig are £125, and allocated by public ballot. To register for the chance to get tickets you must visit Ahmettribute.com which has consequently been down since the announcement of the event yesturday.
Apparently in less than 24 hours, 20 million people have registered on the site for tickets. With only 20,000 tickets available i can see there will be many dissapointed fans.
Led Zeppelin will comprise on the night of black country lad Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and Jimmy Page from the original band, and also Jason Bonham, John Bonhams (RIP) Son, stepping in on drums.
