Midlands based Headless Cross started life nearly 4 years ago when guitarist Dave Silver broke free from previous band commitments to start his own band. The band set about writing material and playing gigs. After nearly a year and a half the band finally found the right line-up and direction, and began gigging heavily all over the country. On the circulation of the bands first proper demo "Crown Of Thorns", the band were overwhelmed by the unanimously positive response, being compared to Judas Priest, Metallica, Atrophy, Gammacide and a whole host of great metal bands from the 80's heydays.
