Giovanna Olvera is one of those rare finds - someone whose talent for songwriting is matched by an outstanding vocal ability. Giovanna is half Mexican and half Italian but pure Californian. Her music is a melting pot of blues, jazz, pop and San Diego soul. Her songs offer a rare emotional intensity with heartfelt lyrics and devastating melody. Her musical influences include Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and Laura Veirs. Giovanna is now based in the UK where she's working with musician, songwriter and producer Chris Impey. She is currently gigging throughout the UK and recording her first album due for release in January.
