Arkaine are an indie-acoustic duo whose eclectic sound is reminiscent of elements from the Indigo Girls, Kristen Hersh, Everything But The Girl and 10,000 Maniacs. Their personal influences also include; Oasis, Green day and Maria McKee. However, arkaine retain a strong originality in their music. Recording the EP's "April to July" and "Play Somethin' Different" has allowed the band to show a small selection of their varying original material. One of the major strengths of the band would be their mature, sensitive and yet memorable songs that stick in the minds of those who listen.
