MARTYR DE MONA were formed in January 2004 under the guise of BloodSugar. The original band was formed after Louis Hale (Vocals/Guitar), Stephen Williams (Bass) and Simon Blewitt (Guitar/Vocals), friends since secondary school, decided to get together. Local pounder, Matt Walters, was recruited to play drums. The band changed their name to Martyr De Mona in January 2007 because, let's face it, BloodSugar sounds gay! Martyr De Mona will record new music this year and will be playing loads and loads of gigs in due course.
