Frontman Pete Dale formed Milky Wimpshake in 1993 and after a few releases on his Slampt! imprint on cassette and 7" single, the band released their full length debut "Bus Route To Your Heart" in 1997. The band went on tour to promote the release, and released two follow up singles in 1999. After the Slampt! imprint (or 'arts umbrella') folded in 2000, the band continued and a new album in 2001 entitled "Lovers, Not Fighters" was released on the Fortuna Pop label. Nearing their 20th year, the band are still pleasing fans and newcomers with regular worldwide releases and one-off events. They headlined the Indietracks festival in Derbyshire in 2008 and their latest album "My Funny Social Crime" was released on Fortuna Pop in 2010.
