Hymn For Her are an anarchic two-person, multi-instrumental combo with sizzling 3-string cigarbox electric guitar played by Lucy Tight overlaid on the drums, banjo, acoustic guitar, mandolin, mouth harp of Wayne Waxing. Alternately raucous and footstomping or deft and swinging, their sound brings a proto-punk feel to classic Americana themes. Constantly moving (they live and record in a 16ft Bambi Airstream trailer) they criss-cross America several times a year bringing their energy and joy to audiences far and wide. In 2011, they played nigh on 300 dates as well as releasing their second CD Lucy and Wayne and the Amairican Stream. Their recent trip to Belgium and Holland clocked up more miles and they sold out of CDs before the tour finished. White Stripes producer Jim Diamond calls their sound \"Fuzzed-out Folkie Americana\". Sounds about right.
