Finding a direction, a style and inspiration he’s been seen around Birmingham for about two years now quickly augmenting his solo acoustic set with a bands sound (borrowing the rhythm section of ‘the soul’).Pulling influences from 60’s London and Greenwich village folk scene, having songs with the touching lyrical sensitivity if Nick Drake, performing with the roll of John Martyn’s thumb and the passion of Buckley (father and son), also with an apparent penchant for the quirkier sides of Badly Drawn Boy and Ed Harcourt, Chris and his music are drawing them jazz-folk blues and atmospheric cellar folk moods into open arms of Birmingham’s vibrant scene.
