Formed in the late 1980’s The Piranha Brothers was the brainchild of Martin ‘Piranha’ Johnson and Steve ‘Cas’ Castledine, adopting a style similar to early Dr Feelgood and Classic Nine Below Zero Pub Rock Rhythm ‘n’ Blues, the band played on and off all over the Leicestershire and Warwickshire Deltas over the next twenty plus years. In the coming years ‘Cas’ found himself playing in such bands as The Stormin’ Normans, Mick Ridgeway’s Mojo Hand and later in the Midlands Dr Feelgood tribute band ‘Malpractice’. Fast forward to 2020 Martin along with Dave Rowe was asked by Martin Burch to form a new power trio ‘The Martin Burch Band’ which have become crowd favourites at Henry’s, With Martin Burch being forced to sit out some gigs earlier this year, Martin asked his old sparring partner ‘Cas’ to sit in and cover some gigs revisiting some Piranha Brothers Classics, which resulted in well received gigs at Henry’s and The Upton and Colne Blues festivals, The band are delighted to be asked back to perform at Henry’s once again...
