the online live music gig guide for birmingham & the midlands

Freewater

FreewateR is the HOTTEST new band out of Worcester. A great group of musicians that have joined together to play the kind of music that really gets them and the audience excited. Not wanting to play the same old, same old that you hear from pub to pub, their show consists of lots of great classic and new pop & rock with a bit of a funky twist guaranteed to get everyone up and dancing! Lots of great favorites from British and American bands. Leslie Wilson is the singer with a great, unforgettable voice and has a passion for singing & entertaining the crowd. Dave Smith is the guitarist who can play anything with his own flair added. He can make any song his own with his rocky sounding Les Paul. Dave Tomkins is FreewateR's second guitarist. His playing is up there with the greatest, he can really rock 'n roll that guitar! Together, Dave S. and Dave T. share the leads & rhythm. Dave Wilson is the bassist who really is the backbone of the band with his great sound and rhythm. He started out as a lead guitarist about 10 years ago, but recently switched to the bass. He plays it like it's second nature. And saving the best to last, Chris Mitchell is FreewateR's amazing drummer extraodinaire! This man is an "Animal" on the drums and a PROPER ROCK GOD! Chris has previously drummed professionally with the well known band Stormchild and spent 8 years playing for the 80's glamrock band The Hollywood Flairz. Freewater is so privileged to have him as their drummer - he really punishes those drums! They've all played in various bands through the years, but have all come together now to bring you all something new and fun to enjoy. They play a little something for everyone. Come on out and see their show...you'll be an instant fan!!!
