Gospel Revisited Project celebrates the impact and influence of Women In Gospel, revisiting the works of pioneering lyricists and composers.

Arrangements by Ray Prince and Jonathan Silk revitalise scores of ground-breaking female lyricists for new audiences celebrating songs exploring soulful musical knowledge, talent and skill.

A fantastic opportunity to hear reimagined classics from gospel music forerunners such as Mahalia Jackson 1911 – 1972, referred to as “The Queen of Gospel” and heralded internationally as a singer and civil rights activist.

Following government advice, Town Hall Symphony Hall THSH is currently closed.

The Box Office team will continue to process a large volume of refunds and contact audiences electronically with updates as soon as they are able to do so. The Box Office counter and phone lines, however, have now also been closed.

As we agree with event organisers that performances will be postponed or cancelled, we will contact those customers who are affected as soon as possible. Birmingham Town Hall is a Grade I listed concert hall and venue for popular assemblies opened in 1834 and situated in Victoria Square, Birmingham, England.

For more than 180 years, Town Hall has been a hub of civic and cultural life in Birmingham. From classical to comedy to rock to pop, it’s now one of the city’s most versatile venues having featured artists such as David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Tony Iommi, Caitlin Moran and more. Famous classical premieres include Mendelssohn’s Elijah and Elgar’s The Dream of Gerontius, The Apostles, The Kingdom and The Music Makers.
